Eligibility Requirements
Medical Education
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- MD or DO degree
- International medical graduates must hold ECFMG certification
Residency Training
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency (4 years total)
- PGY-1: Internship (typically includes internal medicine and neurology)
- PGY-2 to PGY-4: Core psychiatry training
- Program director attestation of clinical competence
Medical Licensure
- Full, unrestricted medical license
- Licensed in at least one U.S. state or territory
